A fan-run community for serious builders

Where fans clickinto place.

Welcome to Joined by Pieces — a home for adult fans who sort by element, argue about connection strength, and still grin when two bricks snap together. Share your builds, sharpen your technique, find your people.

3001 — Brick 2×4 — the piece that started most of us

Our mission

Serious about building. Not serious about much else.

Two hands clicking a red brick onto a grey one

Joined by Pieces exists so that the fans who never stopped building have somewhere real to bring it. Not a marketplace, not a kids' corner — a hub where a clever bracket connection gets the same respect as a finished showpiece.

We showcase original creations, trade the techniques behind them, and meet up — online and in person — to build together. Critique here is generous and specific: we tell you what works, what wobbles, and which piece you didn't know you needed.

Whether you build sprawling modular streets, swooshable ships, or one perfect small thing a month, you'll find people here who get it. Bring your work in progress. That counts too.

Four rooms, one table

Build showcases

Post your original creations and get eyes that notice the hard parts — the hidden supports, the color blocking, the connection nobody else would have found.

Meetups & challenges

Monthly build challenges, collab layouts, and in-person build nights. Deadlines are gentle; the table talk is not.

Honest critique

Ask for feedback and get the useful kind — specific, kind, and from people who have made the same mistakes at scale.

How we work

Technique library

How the impressive stuff goes together

Member-written breakdowns, connection by connection. No gatekeeping — the whole point is that you steal the technique and build something better with it.

Bricks sorted by element into labelled trays

Sorting is a technique. We will die on this hill.

  • TQ-01

    SNOT foundations

Studs Not On Top — brackets, headlight bricks, and the geometry that makes sideways building hold.

  • TQ-07

    Greebling with intent

Mechanical texture that reads as machinery, not clutter. Density, rhythm, and knowing when to stop.

  • TQ-12

    Brick-built curves

Wedge plates, hinge maths, and the 1×2 curved slope — smooth arcs from square parts.
